Pencil case with 24 pockets for 24 colour pencils. Use each pocket for a different colour and find the right colour quickly!
24 strips of fabric measuring 1 1/12 x 11 inches
24′ x 7′ for the pocket, folded in half
24′ x 11′ for the back
24′ x 11′ one sided fusible interface or flannel
Stitch strips together and iron resulting rectangle with seams open.
Fuse to the fusible interface.
Fold pocket fabric in half and stitch the top at 1/4′ from the top.
Place backing and stripped and pocket side facing together.
Place elastic band on one side with hoop facing inside.
Pin and stitch leaving a 1/4 seam allowance and leaving an opening in one side of about 8-10 cms.
Turn inside out and iron flat. Top stitch around the rectangle very close to the edge.
Make pockets for each pencil following the strips and stitching up and down in a continuous fashion.
Sew a button on the back, close to the elastic band.
