Embroidery
Pick any four of the words from my Christmas quilt and draw a few leaves and flowers around the letters as per photos below.
Trim the embroidery to 4.5inches.
Border
Cut 2 inch stripes of fabric and assemble as per picture below.
Make a quilt sandwich with the top, the batting and the backing fabric and stitch around the inside border only.
Binding
The binding is double folded. Cut 2 stripes of fabric 1.5 inch wide, fold in half and iron. Attach to the wall hanging with mitered corners.made out of one long 1.5 inch stripe folded in half.
Embellish with self covered buttons, fabric flowers sequins and the like.
Iron the wall hanging well so that it hangs straight.
Ready to hang on the wall!
