This is a very simple 16 patch block perfect for beginners.

It can be made in any size. For this tutorial the finished block is 10″ x 10″.

This block  can be placed in different directions to get different quilt layouts. Also you can play with the background and foreground fabrics to get different effects.

This tutorial is for two modern blocks that are the mirror of each other.

It’s a very quick and simple block and uses fabric scraps to add some interest to the block.

You can make this block any size really. Just adjust the left and right side pieces and even the improv strip.
