If you’ve never done English paper piecing or EPP this is an easy project to start with.
For this I printed a few sheets of 1 inch hexagons (pdf), but if you prefer to start with larger pieces, you can use up 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch hexagons. You’ll find those two sizes on the pdf download as well.
This mini quilt is 29 inches wide.
How to make English paper piecing (EPP) hexagons
This is a beginner’s project.
You can see that the quilt starts with a hexies flower and then hexagons are added in rows.

A while ago I made a similar block with 4 fabric strips of the same width. This time I tried with 5 fabric strips of different widths and this is one of the blocks I got.
The choice of fabrics is important. It works best with high contrasting fabrics and colours.
