My book Turnabout Patchwork

“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.

  1. I love your videos. They are so helpful to see how blocks are made and your little tricks to make quilting easier. Thank you. Now a question about making bias strips. How big does the square have to be to make 2 1/4″ binding strips like the video?

  2. I can’t give you an exact measure. You can use any starting size. If you’re short you can make more bias tape with a smaller square.
