This is the eleventh block in the Mysteries Down Under quilt.
To make this block we’ll learn a foundation piecing technique that uses freezer paper.
Download, print the template and trace just one piece onto freezer paper.
The freezer paper is reusable because you don’t need to stitch through the paper. And removing the paper is a breeze! I hope you enjoy this technique.
For regular paper piecing you’ll have to use all four pieces in the template.

My book Turnabout Patchwork“Turnabout Patchwork. Simple quilts with a twist” is all about playing with blocks – making a block, slicing it up, and turning or repositioning the pieces to make a completely different block (sometimes two smaller blocks) to yield endless quilt tops.
